“I was in need of home, auto and umbrella insurance since my current provider will no longer provide insurance in NY. I have used independent insurance agents for over 40 years now since they can find the best policy for my needs and are not locked into any one company. After reading several reviews about Erie Insurance I contacted VanScotter Insurance and requested pricing to compare to other quotes I had solicited from other agencies. The process was seamless and straightforward from start to finish. Any questions I had were promptly answered which gave me more confidence that this agency would be a good one to work with. Everything was done electronically from applications to approvals which avoided office visits. Their quote from Erie was slightly less than the next highest quote for the same coverage; I was hoping for a better deal but it was still less. I had all the information and policies in place to take effect at the end of the year. One less thing to worry about! I definitely recommend them if you are looking for a good independent insurance provider!”
