VanScoter Insurance Agency, LLC (www.vanscoterinsurance.com) an independent property & casualty (auto, home, business, and life insurance) insurance agency is looking for a full-time Customer Service/Sales Representative.

Office hours are Monday – Thursday 8:15am-5pm and Friday 8:15am-4:30pm with 45 minutes for lunch.

**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Insurance Agent to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for selling insurance products to customers and providing exceptional customer service.

**Duties:**

– Sell insurance products to customers, both in-person and over the phone

-Assist clients with claims, billing questions, and payment options

-Review policies for accuracy and contact clients to discuss their needs

-Process policy changes and endorsements, ACORD applications, certificates of insurance

– Build and maintain a strong customer base

– Provide excellent customer service

– Negotiate with customers to reach mutually beneficial agreements

– Stay up-to-date on industry developments and maintain current knowledge of insurance products

– Manage and maintain accurate records of sales and customer interactions

– Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues

– Conduct retail sales activities to promote insurance products to potential customers

– Demonstrate a strong understanding of insurance products and their benefits to customers

– Develop a comprehensive understanding of insurance sales and the insurance industry

**Experience:**

– A bachelor’s degree is required

-A current NYS P&C Insurance License is required

-Proven experience in insurance sales

– Strong sales and negotiation skills

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

– Ability to work independently and as part of a team

– Knowledge of insurance products and the insurance industry
